2025 marks Christian’s 40th year mountain biking. Growing up (sort of), in Lakewood Colorado, in 1985, he purchased a Raleigh Crested Butte. He was most intrigued with low gearing easily enabling wheelies. He is a former competitive snowboarder and rugby player. Rugby pretty much destroyed his knees and now focuses on mountain biking and snowboarding at resorts and in the backcountry.

Christian got involved with the WYO MTB Camps in 2017 as a volunteer coach after his wife coached the previous year. They have returned each year, with both of their daughters participating in the camps. Christian also volunteers with the Colorado High School Mountain Bike League as a Level 1 coach and is seeking to attain his level 2 certification. 2025 will be Christain’s first year on the Board of Directors serving as the Treasurer. Christian has previously served as the CFO of the 501 C-3, Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue, which he and his wife started in 2007.

He lives in Arvada, with his wife, daughter, Mastiff Stella Blue, Great Dane, Scarlett Begonia and Catahoula, Doug.
