Board Member and Camp Director, Dean Street is going on his 28th year as a Firefighter and Paramedic and hopes to retire in 2025. He is 3X finisher of the “Race Across the Sky” Leadville 100 Mountain Bike Race, and finished his 4th Leadville 100 in 2023 at mile 43 after a crash on the dreaded Power Line. Dean is a BICP (Bicycle Instructor Certification Program) Level 1, fundamentals bike instructor, a CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor. Dean was introduced to Wyoming Mountain Bikes camps in 2014, where both his daughter and son attended the camps. After some discussion with our founder Todd, Dean talked his way into volunteering by telling Todd he could use his Paramedic skills if needed. Dean has been a part of the camps ever since. Dean realized just how important it is for kids to get off their phones, get on their bikes and enjoy the outdoors. His passions are riding his bike in Leadville and anywhere that will take him. Dean enjoys seeing kids excited about riding their bikes, motivating them to learn to mountain bike and most importantly, HAVING FUN.
