Online registration for the 2021 Wyoming MTB Camps is now closed, but the El Alto camp still has some spots available and we may be able to fit your student into a camp, should there be cancellations. To inquire about available spots, please email Camp Director, Rich Vincent at email@example.com. If your student is qualified for the camp, you will be provided instructions on how to register offline.
Stone Temple Camp – This camp is currently filled, but spots may open due to cancellation. Please check per the details above.
Granite Ridge Camp – Very limited spots still available. Please contact us about possible openings.
Rock N’ Roller Camp – This camp is currently filled, but spots may open due to cancellation. Please check per the details above.
El Alto Camp – Limited spots still available.
Initial registration closed at 11:59pm on March 31st. Any spots not filled by the initial invitees are now available to other qualified students on a first-come first-served basis. To be considered for these spots, please be sure to sign up on our secondary pre-registration site (see link below). You will be notified as soon as possible if your student qualifies for their selected camp.
We require this pre-registration to collect the necessary information for the student to attend the camps and appreciate you taking the time to complete it. We are still awaiting feedback from Wyoming State Parks about our Covid Procedures Plan. Once it has been approved, we will send it to parents and students so they will have plenty of time to review and understand it. We are all looking forward to holding fun, educational and safe camps for all of our students this June.
Covid Preparedness Plan – Final (download PDF)
We’ve had some questions about our Covid Preparedness Plan (CPP) and how we intend to enforce the plan. I know this is a repeat for most of you but we’ve attached the CPP and our updated refund policy for your reference and to minimize confusion. We want to thank all of you who have already submitted copies of vaccination cards or informed us that your student has received their first shot and the copy of the vaccination card will be provided after their second shot.
Since the CPP was submitted as part of our WY State Park permit application and approved by State Parks, we do not have much leeway in our enforcement of the plan elements and requirements. This email is meant to clarify what Wyoming Mountain Bikes Inc. will require for every student to check into their specific camp.
For a student to check into any of our four mountain bike camps, regarding our Covid Plan, we need either/or:
1. Proof of vaccination (email copy of a completed card or provide a copy at the camp check-in);
2. Proof of a negative Covid Test taken within 3 days of the camp check-in day (email copy; or hard copy or copy on your phone at check-in).
If you do not provide or have not provided proof of either a completed Covid vaccination or a negative Covid test result, then your student will not be allowed to check in. There are not and will not be any exceptions to this policy. As a result you can chose to have:
A. A 50% refund of the total registration cost (Eventbrite fees + taxes + our registration); or
B. Defer 100% of the camp registration fee to one of our 2022 camps.
Regardless, your student will not be allowed to attend any camp in 2021 without providing proof of vaccination or negative test result.
If/when available, please send a PDF or JPEG copy of the vaccination card to this email address, if this option applies. If you have questions please contact us.
Refund Policy – Final (download PDF)
If Wyoming Mountain Bike Camps, Inc. (WYMTB) is required to cancel one or more of the mountain bike camps, students for those camps will receive a 100% refund. Eventbrite “Event” cancellation policy states: “If an event is cancelled or postponed, refunds will be for the entire purchase—that includes the ticket price and the Eventbrite fees.”
If a student is unable to attend the camp for any reason (i.e., injury, positive test for or exposure to another person testing positive for Covid-19, etc.) and cancellation occurs on or before May 31st (the final day of registration), then the refund options are:
1. WYMTB will provide a 50% refund of the total registration cost (Eventbrite fees + taxes + our registration)*; or
2. WYMTB will defer 100% of the camp fee to a 2022 camp.
If a student is unable to attend the camp for any reason (i.e., injury, positive test for or exposure to another person testing positive for Covid-19, non-compliance with WYMTB’s Covid testing-vaccination policy, etc.) and cancellation occurs after May 31st (the final day of registration), then the refund options are:
1. WYMTB will provide a 50% refund of the total registration cost (Eventbrite fees + taxes + our registration); or
2. WYMTB will defer 100% of the camp fee to a 2022 camp.
* If WYMTB is able to fill the vacated registration spot with another student, we will refund 100% of the camp cost, minus the Eventbrite fees.
Wyoming MTB Camps, Inc., is currently planning to host four youth mountain bike (MTB) camps, for students ages 12 through 17, at Curt Gowdy State Park in 2021. Due to the ever-changing conditions of public health concerns regarding COVID-19 (aka: the Coronavirus) we will continue to monitor the situation and follow Wyoming and CDC guidelines. However, since there is no way to run these camps without having close contact between students and staff we will be requiring that all staff attending the camp receive Covid-19 vaccinations and will be following our Covid Procedures Plan (pending approval by Wyoming State Parks). This plan will be made available to parents and students as soon as it has been approved.
All camps will be based at Curt Gowdy State Park’s historic Hynd’s Lodge. All grade delineations are based on the 2021-22 school year. Specific camp information can be found at Our Camps page.
